They both have a hard enough time getting all their games to output at 60fps 1080p (yes I know PS3 has done it once or twice, but that doesn't make it easy) let alone 120.
I also fail to see the reason 30fps 3d would be bad. It's the same standard as TV, and it works fine.
That said, stereoscopic 3d is really only good for objects relatively close to the players eye (things appearing within roughly arms reach). For things further away, head tracking is much better. A...
so that means they don't regret it at all?
Maybe for marketing to south eastern wisconsin.
@"The game sold 2.4 mil in europe, europe pays more for games then america so the $40 average game price is a good price to judge the overall profits on."
it also costs more to get them there. Localization and import fees make the actual profit about the same in almost all cases.
@Article
No it isn't. GT5P might be hugely profitable, but GT5 is not profitable because it hasn't made any money...
arms
yea... so many xbox fans in here.
double standards ftw.
What does them existing have anything to do with how hard they were to make?
People run the iron man too. That doesn't make it easy.
it does work in the dark... there's plenty of previews from independent news sites saying so o.O
it did not look better than FF in any way except brown-ness
That's pretty ironic. Reasons above point out why.
Not all consoles are sold at a loss late in life. The Wii was never sold at a loss, and I'm pretty sure the 360 is breaking even now. I don't know how much the new PS3 slim costs, but I'd imagine it's pretty close to even if not completely even.
Late in life console sales are meant to make money. Early life console sales are meant to increase install base.
I am still befuddled at how the wii continues to sell. It's like watching prefontaine. It just keeps going and going.
I wonder how comfortable it is. The hard edges on the sides make me worry that it might hurt after long periods of time. I'm also curious whether the triggers are just buttons (cuz they look more like trigger shaped buttons than analogue) or analogue triggers.

yea... it's tanking.
I agree. Adventure games are kind of lost in today's gaming world. If someone made a really good adventure game, it could catch on like wildfire.
Indiana Jones and the fate of atlantis was a sweet game, and it had literally no action bits. some great puzzles too.
It has 5 times as many dynamic lights possible, twice as many AI on screen, better animations, better detail overall, and a sky system that's completely unique to Reach so far. It's introducing squad combat in halo, and getting back to a lot of the gameplay elements that made Halo CE great.
The only reason not to be excited with the information provided is if you were never going to play the game anyway.
are you blind?
There's 4 of them.
no company does sales to consumers in their reports. They might do it in press releases, but reports do numbers sold to retailers because it's the only thing that affects the companies bottom line.
You are so far off base with their strategy. They were coming from a distant last place trying to overcome a dominating market share. They're goal was to get the lead and keep the lead as long as possible.
Once you have a solid lead, it's easier to talk people into making exclusives on their own dime, so they don't need to own as many of their own studios.
They aren't trying to bully their way in. They're using the only strategy available to realistically combat a do...
yea... at this rate, sony will be shooting passed by 2014
And they're probably not anticipating GT5 because it's a driving sim.
I'd say their list is well within subjective allowance. Not a huge fan of SMG2, but oh well..
